The agritourism accommodations of “Il Cantalupo” reflect the classicism of the premises in which they are made.

We are a wine-growing company that has been present in the Modena area for about a century, located in the town of Formigine. Grandfather Guido was already Podestà of the town and President, as well as founding member, of the Cantina Sociale with a result of meritorious recognitions in the years that followed.

Currently the rural complex is located within an important commercial area in an area that includes the towns of Maranello and Sassuolo and maintains that ‘agricultural’ characteristic, kept by the family.

The property was the summer residence of the family who still owns it and directly manages the production of wine grapes, black cherries for sale to private individuals and Balsamic Vinegar both Traditional DOP and IGP, through the use of their own grapes .

In the constant evolution of the activity, the management of agritourism accommodations is added, which are built in the old farmhouse, inside the rural village, surrounded by vineyards and orchards.


The decor made up of restored furniture gives that personal and refined characteristic that revives a particular atmosphere of familiarity. In a world where the personality is uniform, an attempt has been made to give variety, with colors and furniture typical of Emilia. The old, or rather, ancient farmhouse is divided into comfortable rooms complete with modern comforts, large spaces to enjoy and a view of the vineyards. The recovered attics were rebuilt keeping the wooden structure of the old roof visible. All lodgings and rooms are equipped with their own independent services.

The directly cultivated vineyards stretch around the buildings of the farm. Lambrusco, Trebbiano and Pignoletto grapes are produced. The viticultural vocation of the family, after a hundred years, is still handed down today. In recent years, the family production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP has been added, obtained from handed down centuries-old barrels. Attention to the environment, albeit limited to one’s own reality, has always characterized the idea of ​​a farm that maintains the ‘natural’ characteristics. The fertilizations are only of an organic nature and the pesticide treatments limited to the bare minimum.
